Budapest. Baths and Empire
An Austro-Hungarian mosaic over the Danube
You can walk the quest in one language and keep the interface in another.
The Hungarian capital is two cities glued together by a bridge. The Buda side holds the castle and thermal springs, known to the Romans and developed by the Turks; Pest is boulevards, cafés and the parliament building, raised in 1885–1904 as a declaration of national feeling within Austria-Hungary. The route reads these three eras through three stops.
